This OVA concludes the story of Himiura Kenshin of the Rurouni Kenshin series and Rurouni Kenshin: Reminiscence OVA, including the ending fates of he, his wife, Kamiya Kaoru, and their son. This OVA was rejected by many fans of the franchise who did not feel that the ending was appropriate for the long-developed characters.
