Jimmy Durante plays the patriarch of a faded vaudeville team who suddenly finds a great deal of money hidden in his house. The authorities suspect Durante of being a thief, but in fact the culprit is a beneficent squirrel named Rupert. Once everything is straightened out, Durante makes a triumphant return to the stage, with Rupert as his teammate.
