Love and larceny cross paths in an unexpected way in this hriller. Sarah (Melanie Griffith) is an American expatriate living in Paris, where she makes a good living smuggling antiques with her boyfriend, Jack (Hugh Dancy). Walter Shrenger (Malcolm McDowell) is an art collector who approaches Sarah about stealing and bringing to him a piece hes been interested in for some time, but with the caveat that he doesnt want to deal with anyone else, including Jack. Sarah heads to Germany to pull off the heist, and while shes gone Jack meets Jenny (Rachael Leigh Cook), a beautiful woman who works for an upscale jewelry store and knows how to access their safe. Jack falls into a fling with Jenny, but when Sarah returns, their relationship isnt the biggest problem at hand -- the heist went wrong, she was shorted on her payment from Sherenger, and now Sarah has to come up with 80,000 dollars if she wants to save her life.
