Vietnam Combat offers a ground-level view of the American war in Vietnam. Composed largely of archival footage, including some film shot for, and intended only to be seen by, American military commanders. Because of this, the immediacy of some of this footage can be startling and disturbing, offering as it does the unadorned reality of modern combat. In this particular episode, viewers get an up-close look at the role played by helicopter pilots in the Vietnam War. American military endeavors would not have been possible without the mobility and spot on firepower offered by these men and the remarkable machines they flew. ~ Rob Ferrier, All Movie Guide
