The films title, plus the presence in the cast of Buster Crabbe, might lead the impressionable viewer to conclude that Jungle Man is a Tarzan picture. No way, Cheetah. Crabbe is a doctor, accompanying a shipment of fever serum to a remote jungle village. The ship is torpedoed by a U-Boat. Crabbe and his girlfriend Sheila DArcy are marooned on a small island. When DArcy falls ill to jungle fever, Crabbe heroically dives into the ocean to retrieve the serum. Its adventure quotient aside, Jungle Man has all the production expertise of an 8-millimeter home movie. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
