In this gritty independent drama, a shoe salesman whos sick of his going-nowhere life in Newark, New Jersey borrows $10,000 and bets it on a horse that hes been told cannot lose. The horse loses, and the salesman ends up taking out his frustrations on his long-suffering girlfriend when hes not trying to avoid the loan shark who fronted him the money.
