This typical Felix the Cat cartoon is interesting because of the cartoon appearances of some 1920s Hollywood stars. Felixs master is an out-of-work actor who needs to go to Hollywood to get a job. He orders Felix to get them some money to pay for the trip. Felix spies a shoe store that is going out of business. Felix tells the owner that he will help him with his business. He chews a big wad of gum and spits out little pieces of it all over the street. People everywhere step in the gum, and their shoes are stuck to the street. They swarm over to the shoe store, and buy every pair of shoes there. The owner of the store pays Felix $500. Felixs master will not let him make the trip to Hollywood, but Felix pretends to be a suitcase and makes the trip anyway. He tries to get an acting job at a studio, and meets Hollywood personalities like Ben Turpin, Will Hays, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, and Cecil B. DeMille. ~ Bruce Calvert, All Movie Guide
